ABOUT THE FARM & FAMILY
Hi! We’re the Cantorals.
We’re Dad Mario, Mom Ainsley, three little “fillies” Ofelia, Eva, & Jorgiana.
Our first family memory here is standing on the back deck the day we closed on our 16-acres. Looking past the willow tree and into the woods behind the pasture, we knew we were home.
Please come share in our sustainable homestead and experience how gratitude makes our grass greener and leaves our hearts full in Glendale, RI.
Meet our Farm Animals
Mario woke up one morning set on buying a cow.
“Today’s the day,” he said. By 8:00pm that night he and a friend had built a stall and we had 3 calves sitting in our backyard. Young cows are challenging to raise, and we bottle-fed them until they became family. Now, our babies are getting ready to have babies and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome them to the farm!
We coped with being at-home by buying chickens.
We wanted a couple different varieties and started in March 2020 with 100 birds. Mario would leave with the girls to “pick up 6” and come back with 36! We now raise geese, ducks, and several types of chickens. Ofelia calls them her stubborn little ones because she picked all the ones who don’t listen.
Giving BFFs Kate & Penelope a new life.
Kate & Penelope, our horse and pony, came to us from a farmer who could no longer care for them the way they needed. His only requirement? That at 15 and 16 years old they stay together as a bonded pair.
